Saturday

Primera

Espanyol - Sevilla

I would go with Espanyol in this match. They slow down recently and at home lost twice from much worst teams then Sevilla (regardless of the fact that Huelva and Betis are having better away record ),i don`t expect the same mistake to be repeated for the third time.
Sevilla is struggling big time in away games this season and I those odds I would oppose them any time.

Betis - Real Madrid

Real was playing good last week but i wouldn`t say that they were as good as the opponents were poor. For me no bet game, Betis is going to try to take at least a point and with low scoring game they could get something from this game.

Zaragoza - Barcelona
I have to place a bet on the home team.....crazy odds considering the bad away record of Barcelona

Secunda

Celta - Pol Ejido
Probable easy home win but at those odds ,no thanx....

Gimnastic - Eibar
I like the home win and those odds are just fine for me....
h2h:3-0-0

Hercules - Tenerife
Home win for sure, and biggest bet for me this week, they are four rounds without a home win at home so this is going to be good opportunity for them against a team who isn`t so good in away games.....

Hercules just love to play against Tenerife 15-3-0 .....

Numancia - Albacete

Maybe someone is going to say big odds for home win considering the position of those two teams but I’m going to leave this match ,Numancia is having tough time when they are playing against them at home ,draw is most frequent result ...2-4-1

Sporting Gihon - Xerez

New coach for Xerez and maybe surprise in the first game, Sporting is very good team for gambling at least for me..They are excellent in away games and shit at home so at those odds i would try with Xerez ,new coach is always a good motivation for the players.

Granada - Salamanca
No bet game for me,probable low scoring home win

Sunday games......

Rec Huelva - Dep La Coruna

Huelva won on Montjuic last week and that was surprise of the week ....
Deportivo is undefeated three round and that`s big accomplishment for them, lol
I expect low scoring game and continuation of the tradition ,Deportivo has never won in Huelva...
H2H:10-5-0...24:6
*Deportivo never scored more than a single goal in all of those 15 games

Almeria - Murcia Real

I like Almeria big time in this match but odds are little bit short at least for me.....
H2H:4-1-0

Villarreal - Santander
Which side of Villarreal we are going to see this week? The one scoring plenty of goals and playing beautiful football of the one that is having problem to score single goal?
Santander is playing for draw most of the time in the away games but i don`t think that they are going to get anything from this game.
Pinnacle is having biggest price in the moment @1.92 and I’m going to place medium bet on home win.
H2H:7-2-1

Levante - Osasuna

Levante is playing much better football but what the use of that when they are still losing points ...
Osasuna is crazy team as was saying all season long and at @2.50 i have just this to say: Muchos gracias for those realy generous odds from my local bookie I’m on them since couple of days ago....

P.S. Someone maybe would say that they are playing 3 for 3 or i don`t know what else ,i realy don`t believe in all of that crap ........

Getafe - Valencia
Forget about this game....
H2H:3-0-0

Atletico Madrid - Bilbao
Shity odds for home win but what else should we expect?
Bilbao is on the roll of nine straight under game so maybe Atletico who is scoring and receiving plenty(they are not in scoring boots lately ,5 rounds in a row with under games ) is the best team to break that record?
H2H:41:13:16

Valladolid - Mallorca
Mallorca after great period ,now they are playing like shit ,last 10:1-6-3 ,only Levante is worst of them and there`s biggest power attack isn`t working as it should be...
Valladolid after that humiliation last week is going to try to get the points and i think they could do that ....
H2H:15-4-4...40:20

Ferrol - Elche
Small bet on Elche ,ferrol is shitiest team at least for me in Secunda and first candidates to go down.
Elche is still in the group of teams that is fighting for promotion(for me they don`t have chance, much better teams are just around the corner) but in this match they should be able to grab the win.

R.Sociedad - Las Palmas
Typical shit from Las Palmas last week ,when everyone was excepting to take easy three points they just have to f... up....
Sociedad is playing nice football but they are too inconsistent to be considering for batting(at least for me).
Both teams are in good form and every result wouldn`t be a surprise.....

H2H: in recent years Sociedad is without a home win 0-2-0,but overall h2h2 is quite impressive : 22-5-1

Just for fun I’m going to try with draw and CS 1-1

Cadiz FC - Alaves

Ahhh every time this two meet I’m having a nightmare....
Some of my biggest losses were on games involving this two ....
I`m going to pass this time without thinking regardless of the fact that i think draw is looking nailed on Sunday…. but f.. them……
I’m just going to watch the game nothing more
H2H:6-4-2
*Cadiz is without a home win since 1983

Malaga FC - Castellon
I have almost evens at my local shop and i don`t understand why?
Yes Castellon is in better form ,Malaga is playing too much draws recently but still at home they are force and should be able to get three points in Sunday....
I`m going to check the news but for now i would say pretty good offer for home win.....
H2H:0-1-0 ....0:0

Sevilla Atlético - Cordoba
Probable draw will satisfy both teams.....

Thursday, January 17, 2008

Getafe - Sevilla

Well isn`t going to be game for watching for sure ...
Sevilla is still with plenty of problems, Getafe is going to try to get three points with there`s well known tactics score one and defend till the end......

H2H:
* 1-2-1 ...1:1
*One goal is max when this two are playing.....0-0, 1-0 ,0-0, 0-1

Draw or under 1,5 would be best option ...

Villarreal - Valencia
Well not going to dig for any info becouse Valencia is playing just one note that this is the place where they have problems .....

H2H:
*4-2-2.....9:7
*2/8 over 2,5

Osasuna - Bilbao
Big Basque clash....
I`ve made some decent cash with Osasuna this season but also I’ve lost when i was confident that they would win so at those odds no bet for me......

H2H:

*8-10-12...35:50

*Bilbao is having great run in last 10 games:just one loss ...1-5-4

Levante-Mallorca

Rigano is going to be bigg loss for Levante but there`s bigest problem is scoring goals if they start to score goals they could take some points.....

Mallorca is going to be in good mood after that result against Real but i wouldn`t go with them on that price, considering the fact that Mallorca is in same form as Levante just 7 pts from last 10 games(even they have one win less in that last 10 games)

*Last 5 away games of Mallorca- over 2,5

H2H:

6-4-5...31:20

10 of those - over2,5

Zaragoza - Murcia

Zaragoza all the way for me in this game ...
New coach for them and i don`t think that they would play worst then that...
They are without home win since 28-10-07, 5 games (0-4-1)....
Murcia is home team and they always trying to get same point with defending all the time...

H2H:
* Impressive home record for Zaragoza....
12-2-1...34:15

Almeria - La Coruna
This is going to be bad game foe watching ,one goal could decide and i think that Deportivo could take three points on Sunday....
Almeria won last week and end that tremendous rum of Espanyol but i don`t think that they will have the same luck this time ,they are shit in attack -just 6 goals in last 10 matches but at home they are defending all 90` and waiting for chances.....
Deportivo is shite this year they are terible on Riazor place where even best clubs war losing in the past .Same as Almeria biggest problem for them is scoring goals but at least they are scoring more in away games.....
At those odds i prepared to take medium bet on AH on Deportivo and couple of points on away win@3.55...

Valladolid - Espanyol
Oooo this is going to be best game of the week forget about Real and Barcelona these two are in great form and I’m expecting plenty of goals ,just a hunch
Valladolid is playing great football at the moment considering the fact that they war shite couple of mounts ago....
Espanyol finally lost a game.....

H2H:
*This is the place where Espanyol is having HUGE problems through history......
*18-11-6....48:31
*Valladolid lost just twice in last 20 games....11-7-2

Betis - Huelva
What a game was that between Betis and Getafe ..I was expecting one goal and I’m not sorry that I’ve decided to watch that game...
Betis favorite in this match?
I`m not so sure about that this is the game that could go in any direction so placing money wouldn`t be smart move at least for me.....

H2H:
*7-3-2....27:13

Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid
Maybe someone is expecting that this should be interesting game but i wouldn`t be sure about that.....
Real is playing good football ( and i realy hate to say that but it`s true )and they just enjoy to humiliate Atletico at there`s home ground so why this year should be difrent?
Becouse Atletico is playing better ,they were much better in the past and still they were demolished ,and another thing they have some strange tendency to lost the compass when nobody is expecting and they were costing me small fortunes in the past...
Yesterday real wasn`t in the best shape but they were playing with mixed squad and Mallorca was playing great .....

H2H:
*23-20-27.....108:108
*Real lost just twice in last 21 games : 2-8-11
*Real is without a loss since 98/99...0-2-4

Barcelona - Santander
Home win for sure ...
Odds are shite but what else could be expected when someone is dominating in H2h like Barcelona......
H2H:
*33-4-2...121:27

For those who expects plenty of goals some stats:
*6 times over 6,5
*10-over5,5
*24 -over2,5

Spain 5-6 Jan 2008

Primera

Mallorca - Barcelona
This is the place where Barcelona love to play they won in last 5 visits but at those odds i would lay them without thinking
Mallorca is playing good football and visitors are not so great when they are playing away.

Espanyol-Villarreal
Game of the week for sure
I would give bigger chances for Espanyol but draw is very very very probable.

La Coruna - Atletico Madrid
La Coruna just love to play against Atletico they won last 6 times and they are undefeated in last 10 (6-4-0),at those odds they worth couple of points ,Atletico is in better form but i think Deportivo will have second win at home this week.

Huelva - Almeria
Low scoring game for sure, I’m not sure why Huelva is favorite equal teams so anything is possible.......

Valencia - Levante
I would keep my money away from Valencia maybe till the end of the season......
Valencia is having just two more points than Levante at home ground ,unbelivelible
Levante to make one more miracle at Mestalla ,maybe who knows......

Real Madrid - Zaragoza
Maybe Zaragoza not to score is the only bet in this game that is worth playing.
They didn`t in last 3 visits ,they are having big problems with scoring in away goals and in Madrid for sure they are going to have problems

Murcia Real - Osasuna
Again I’m going to go with Osasuna one more time....
They are strange team and they can beat anyone, anywhere so at @3.00 i would go with medium bet ,probable is going to be boring under game both teams are not scoring plenty of goals .....

Santander - Bilbao
I would say home win and Bilbao not to score .....
Santander is very good at home and there`s difence is best in Primera at home ground so one goal in the net of Bilbao would be great

Sevilla - Betis
If anyone is expecting good football from this game, forget about that....
Most probable is going to be war total war and i wouldn`t agree with the odds i would lay Sevilla in this game.....
Best bet of the week for me would be RED CARD ,someone is going to get for sure 3-4 wouldn`t is a surprise at all....

Secunda

Cadiz - Malaga
Cadiz is playing better lately but i wouldn`t dare to go with them tomorrow ....
I smell one more draw from Malaga who is playing like shit lately but when everyone is expecting best stuff from Cadiz they are capable of making shit ....

Castellon CD - Numancia
Castellon is having new coach and that should be big bust but quality is on the visitors side and i expect them to take three points tomorrow ,under game for sure maybe Castellon not to score is good bet to.

Eibar - Albacete
It`s seems like Albacete have pick up some form and I’m surprised that they so big underdogs tomorrow.
Low scoring game ,someone maybe even is going to score and i believe that should be Albacete so some king of AH on them should be good bet.

Spain 09-12-2007

I prefer Espanyol today......
They are playing great football and today i would place couple of points on them.
Zaragosa is alwals great at home but visitors are just in better form that`s my reason for this pick ...
Espanyol +0.25 @1.95

Sevilla should destroy Murcia ,yes they have problems but they are playing at home and after those terible results lately this is must win and they are going to win ,over is good pick also...
Sevilla -1.25 @2.10
Over 2.5 @1.90

Same as Sevilla ,Villareal hit the bottom this couple of weeks and today i expect them to win against out of form Betis....

I`m not so sure that Levante is playing better ,they have some good results lately but still there`s difence is terrible.....
Huelva on the other side is terible in attack but for me they are better team, they won last week and the coach is still there but this game is even more important ,against a team in the bottom they are going to fight till the end of the season to avoid relegation ,so this is the kind of game that Huelva must win if they are planing to play in Primera next season,so i think that there`s small value on Huelva ....
Huelva@3.00

AH for Barcelona right now is -2 but i`m not sure that they going to win with big margin so Deportivo +2@1.88 would be my choise.

Santander is having best defence in the league when is playing at home but i think today they are going to receive at least one goal .....
Mallorca is playing attacking footbal and they should be able to score at least one ;)

Spanish Football 01/12/07

Almeria - Sevilla
@4.00 for Almeria is loking like too big price...

Sevilla is getting into form but this game is going to be third in seven days and I’m not sure that they should be favorites .

Luis Fabiano probable isn`t going to start and Jimenez is having big problems :Adriano,Luis Fabiano,Dragutinovic and Kerzhakov are outAlmeria was best home team in last couple of seasons in Secunda and the same trend is in Primera there`s difence is rock solid at home and under is very probable .

-Marca

I`m going to wait for the team news but for sure this match is going to be closer than the odds suggest under game for sure, maybe even just one goal or scoreless draw......
Almeria@4.00
Under2.5 @1.85

Real Madrid - Santander

Home win @1.30 !!!!!
Joke of the day

Espanyol -Barcelona

Probable I`m missing something but those odds for Espanyol are just crazy....
Derby game ,Barcelona love playing against Espanyol but this time Espanyol is in top form,i watched them 5-6 times this season but last week against Osasuna(and lost money becouse of them) they war great ,they have very good attacking line and midfield is working great .
Barcelona won last week against Huelva but that was far from good game maybe 10-15 minutes of good football from them .
If Espanyol play like last week they are going to score for sure maybe two or three pieces in the net of the city rival wouldn`t be a suprise,so over should be good bet too.
Again maybe I`m missing something but @3.50 and above is massive price ..
Espanyol @3.50
Espanyol (0) 2.50

Ciudad - Gijon
Both teams in good form and odds are placed just fine so i couldn`t find any value at all.
Cuidad(Granada) is famous that is playing great at home and Gijon is master of away wins but i realy couldn`t make up my mind where to place a bet.
Under should be good bet Gijon is scoring lots of goals lately but Cuidad is having good difence and i don`t believe that is going to be too many goals.

Sevilla At.-Sociedad
Alleluia !!! Sociedad won a match after 6 games(0-4-2)
I said last week and I`m going to say again Sevilla is in bad moment right now and i even believe they are going to go down even more.
@3.00 and above for Sociedad is worth at least couple of points ,they are starting to look like a team so maybe they could sneak win tomorrow.
Sociedad@3.10

Tenerife CD - Numancia
Both teams in fine form...
I was expecting price around @3.00 for home win but 2.50 should do the job.
Playing on Canary Islands is always a difficult task so this should be first away defeat for Numancia.
H2H
*Four games all of them home wins with only one goal in the net of Tenerife(1-0,2-1,1-0,2-0)

Copa Sudamericana

Colo Colo-Audax Italiano

Colo Colo in last game away against Antofagasta(1-1) played with plenty of substituted, even Claudio Borghi didn`t travel with the team and assistant Cristián Saavedra was in charge for that game.

Audax is in superb form (undefeated 20 games, since Apr.15) but compared to Colo Colo they are team without big results in SA cups and with less experience in this king of games.

Quote:
Colo-Colo is a great, powerful equipment and with history in the international football. His rival, is certain is in gust of wind, and present leader of the local championship, but in spite of this good moment that they drag this season, they are “a small” equipment and are going to play like so… since they not yet win anything.

The memory sometimes seems fragile and all remember the last game that Audax defeated the “Cacique” in the National, but… and the end of Apertura 2006, does not count in the statistics or they forget that Colo-Colo both gained parties to him to this same equipment? … It is certain the gusts of wind count in soccer, but also the experience and history.

Colo Colo Vs Antofagasta

Christian Muñoz;

Jorge Carrasco, Luis Mena, Bastián Arce;

Boris González, José Luis Cabión, Moisés Villarroel, Miguel Aceval, Rodrigo Millar;

Today “Tricampeón”, made its last practice in Pedreros and Claudius Borghi ratified the starters against the "Tanos".

Odds around evens look good and i think that Colo Colo could sneak win and end that unbelievable series of good result of Audax

Colo Colo @2.00 ....7 pts

Mexican Apertura,29.08.2007

At first glance......

Tecos - Monterey
I think Monterey could take advantage of that terible difence of Tecos: 11 received goals in 4 games so far.....

Monterey is having good difence they keep the net in last three rounds and probable they will in this game to, becouse Tecos is having huge problems in attack....

Necaxa-Jaguares

Beside the fact that H2H is showing low scoring game should be expected my money are going on over, both teams with shaky difences....

Necaxa this year is (censored) in back line and they receiving plenty of goals ,there`s attack when is working is capable of scoring at leas 2-3 goals per game....

Jaguares was humiliated from America 1-6 but in the next away game they menage to win 2-1 against Puebla.
Both teams to score could be good bet also.

Atlas - Atlante
Atlas is having big problems in the moment ,three loses in a row but i think that are good team and they are going to start to play much better some of those loses war against very good teams ....

Atlante with good start without a loss so far 2-2-0 but this time they are going down....

H2H:
*Atlas is undefeated at home at “Jalisco “and with only one loss in away games in last seven years:
Home:4-2-0
Away:5-0-1

Santos - CD Guadalajara
Santos is on fire ,they are playing great and they menage to defeat Pachuca away in last round so I’m little surprised that i could around evens for them

Guadalajara could be a tricky opponent in away games but i think that in best scenario they could get a draw ,nothing more.......

Cruz Azul - Toluca

Cruz Azul won twice at home without receiving a goal and for this game they are going to be without Jared Borgetti and Edgar Andrade who are injured.

Toluca is without any problems for this match ,they are playing solid football so far ,there`s difence in away games is working almost perfectly.

Cruz Azul
1.- Oscar Pérez
8.- Carlos Bonet
4.- Julio César Domínguez
3.- Joel Huiqui
21.- Denis Caniza
16.- Rogelio Chávez
6.- Gerardo Torrado
7.- Christian Riveros
9.- Richard Núñez
19.- César Delgado
11.- Miguel Sabah

Toluca
1.- Hernán Cristante
16.- Sergio Amaury Ponce
4.- Miguel Almazán
3.- Paulo Da Silva
51.- Francisco Gamboa
6.- Manuel De la Torre
5.- Javier Ariel Rosada
10.- Antonio Naelson
21.- Diego De la Torre
11.- Vicente Sánchez
13.- Christian Eduardo Giménez

I would go with the tradition and place a bet on draw ,probable low scoring game 0-0 or 1-1 CS.

Spain Secunda 16June

Last round in Secunda everything is decided but it would be shame not to gamble
Today should be plenty of goals, amost of the teams are going to play with plenty of chanced in the squads and i don`t belive that they are going to be focused on difence.....

I fancy two games where should be plenty of goals:

Salamnaca-Cuidad

Last game for Cuidad in Secunda, most of the players already have new teams and rest of them could play with extra motivation ......

Over2,5@1.85.....6 pts
Over3,5@3.15.....3 pts
Cuiadad@3.15...2 pts

Murcia-Teneriffe

I fancy goals becouse Tenerife is playing very well in away games right now ,four wins in a row and before that they war one of the shitiest away team(11 games without win )and i think they are going to score ,Murcia on the other side is scoring but and receiving plenty of goals....

Over2,5@1.85...5 pts
Over3,5@3.00...3pts

Gijon - Xerez

Both teams are going to play with plenty of changes but i don`t think that i would be plenty of goals in this game ,Xerez is playing strong in difence but home win is maybe best bet ,i don`t think Xerez is going to push too much in this match as they don`t want to end the season at 6th position

Gijon@2.20...5pts
CS 1-0 ....1 pt

Las Palmas - Ejido

Odds for Las Palmas going down and realy don`t know why
Both teams in bad form,Las Palmas is strong at home ,Ejido is terible in away games(winless 7 rounds :0-1-6) but for this game they are going to play almost with full squad ......

Castellon - Malaga

Castellon is playing bets football n the moment and they should win.....

Castellon@1.90...2 pts

Numancia - Valladolid

Derby game and i would go with Numancia only becouse they could be motivated to finish the season 5th or 6th position...
Valladolid still having problems with injuries....

Spain Secunda 10June

Cuidad-Las Palmas

I fancy goals in this game.....
*Both teams are on vacation
*This would be last game for most of the Cuidad players ,last game at "La Condomina" in Secunda so should be some goals for the fans(although i think they have only 4000 if I’m not wrong)
*Last round they played great game away against Gijon 3:4
*Cristian Díaz,Borja Criado,Thiago Schumacher and Ludovic Assemoassa-injured

*Las Palmas avoided relegation couple of weeks ago so they are playing more relax ,last round they have 2 goals lead and they received two late goals just to draw at home against Salamanca...
*Ione-injured
*Marcos Márquez(best scorer in Secunda -20 goals)-out for personal reasons...
Only absence of Márquez is stopping me of putting big bet ....

Ciudad de Murcia: Jaime, Ceballos, Iván Amaya, Espín, Ayoze, Falcón, Gibanel, Xavi Jiménez, Luque, Saizar y Goitom.

UD Las Palmas: Nacho González; Txiki, David García, Aythami, Juanma; Monteagudo, Cobas; Viyuela, David González, Alberoni y Losada.

Vecindario-Murcia

Vecindario
*Yeray, Morales and Lampón-out
*Xisco is back in the team

Murcia
*Juanma Valero, Alejandro Marañón and Samuel Baños-inured
*Daniel Aquino Pintos-16 years has been summoned
*Goalkeeper Antonio Notario, the midfielders Bruno Herrero, Abel Gómez and José Luis Acciari and defender Carlos Aranda have not been mentioned and probably will be out.
*Goalkeaper Juanmi García midfielders Pablo Ruiz, Adrián Martín and Noel Williams could have their opportunity to start the game.

Vecindario: Óliver; Marcos Suárez, Dorta, Atxabal, Ruano; Míchel, Mario Prieto, Carrizo, Goñi; Mirosavljevic y Xisco.

Murcia: Juanmi; Pignol, Ochoa, Ramón, Paco Peña; Pablo Ruiz, Richi, Pedro León, Adrián Martín; Iván Alonso y Noel Williams.

Big changes in Murcia for this game ,odds for over are low as they war in last couple of round when Vecindario is involve but i fancy Vecindario in this game ,they are playing best football at the moment odds are great and with all of those absences for Murcia i think home team could take the win .....

Boca Juniors - Cucuta

Boca probable is going to win but i fancy goals in this game too, they have to attack becouse they have to score at least two goals but i doubt that it would be just 2 goals today, at least four is on my mind
Cucuta in the first game score three and from what i so they have decent attack but away from home they are difrent team ...

Boca Juniors: Mauricio Caranta, Hugo Ibarra, Claudio Morel, Clemente Rodríguez, Pablo Ledesma, Ever Banega, Nery Cardozo, Juan Román Riquelme, Rodrigo Palacio y Martín Palermo. Entrenador: Miguel Russo.

Santos-Gremio

Santos should win tonight but I’m not sure if that`s going to be enough for the final....
I `m going with over on this game...
Santos played 4/5 games at home over2.5 ,Gremio is typical under team ,just one over game in 10 played games in Libertadores this year but I hope that Santos is going to attack from first minute and i think Gremio is going to score too ,so both teams to score is good bet too , should be good game for watching

Santos: Fabio Costa - Alessandro, Adaílton, Avalos, Kléber - Claudio Maldonado, Cleber Santana, Zé Roberto - Jonas, Moraes y Marcos Aurélio.
DT: Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

Gremio: Sebastián Saja - Patricio, William, Teco, Lúcio - Sandro Goiano, Gavilán, Lucas (Diego Souza), Tcheco (Ramón) - Carlos Eduardo y Tuta (Amoroso).

Boca Juniors, Santos on the brink of elimination in Copa Libertadores

SAO PAULO, Brazil: South American powerhouses Boca Juniors and Santos need to rebound from disappointing first-leg results to avoid being upset in the Copa Libertadores semifinals this week.

Two-time champion Santos lost its first leg to Brazilian rival Gremio 2-0 last week in Porto Alegre, while five-time champion Boca Juniors of Argentina fell 3-1 to surprising Cucuta Deportivo in Colombia.

Santos, seeking its first Libertadores title since 1963, will need to score at least two goals at its Vila Belmiro stadium on Wednesday to keep alive its chances of reaching the finals for the first time since 2003, when it lost the title to Boca.

Santos dominated the first stage of the traditional club tournament and was unbeaten until last week's defeat to Gremio, which won the competition in 1983 and 1995 but hasn't reached the finals since. Santos entered the semifinals as the favorite against Gremio, which barely advanced from the group stage and won only six of its 11 matches.

But Gremio dominated the first leg, taking the lead on first-half goals by captain Tcheco and striker Carlos Eduardo and cruising to victory.

Santos remains optimistic, however.

"I'm certain we can achieve the result we need," Santos coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo said. "We came back from other similar deficits, like in the Sao Paulo state championship final, and I know we can do it again."

Santos won the traditional state championship against Sao Caetano earlier this year after losing the first leg 2-0. It won the return match by the same score, clinching the championship because it had the tournament's best record.

In the Copa Libertadores, Santos fell behind twice and came back.

It was losing 2-0 at home to Venezuela's Caracas in the second round, but rebounded to win 3-2 and advance 5-4 on aggregate. In the quarterfinals, it was down 1-0 to Mexico's America in the return match following a scoreless first leg, but recovered to win 2-1 and reach the semifinals.

In the other semifinal, Boca Juniors also was favored to cruise past Cucuta Deportivo, but it will have to rebound from the same two-goal deficit as Santos if it wants to reach its fifth final in seven years.

Boca Juniors led 1-0 in Colombia, but allowed Cucuta — playing in its first Copa Libertadores — to rally with three unanswered goals.

Because of the away goal, the Argentine club — which has won the Latin American competition three of its last four trips to the finals — can advance with a 2-0 victory in Buenos Aires on Thursday.

Boca Juniors could be just the latest victim of Cucurta, which graduated from the Colombian second division only two years ago and has surprised several top clubs in this year's competition, including Paraguay's Cerro Porteno, Mexico's Toluca and Uruguay's Nacional.

*"David Vidal, trainer of the Elche, has up to eight injured players for this game:Antoni Lukasiewicz, Fernando Niño, Mario Gómez, Marc Bernaus, Roberto Peragón, Miguel Angel López Cedrón, Fernando Fajardo and Víctor Gómis."

"The numerous absences has have forced Galician trainer to use players from the filial team from Tercera División:midfielder-Samuel,forwards-Lluis Doménech and Joaquín Calderón along with Joann Bouchard, Manolo Pérez and Rubén Suárez will be in the bench.

*Gastón Houses-back after suspension

Elche CF: Caballero, Juanfran, Trotta, Benja, Bellvís, Raúl Martín, Pere Martí, Coelho, Katxorro, Oscar Díaz y Gastón Casas.

Elche need just one point to be mathematically safe but i think they know that they going to play in Secunda next year
Elche is having problems but i wouldn`t dare to go with Cadiz ,they are on vacation long time ago they are playing with big rotations in the team and with trainer-Jose González leaving the club after 30 June everything is possible in this game also they burn me too many times this season
I fancy over in this game ,lots of changes in both teams should be chance for lots of goals.........

Copa Libertadores 22-24 May

Nacional v Cucuta
Nacional is big favorite but i wouldn’t touch them on that price also i fancy Cucuta to make one more miracle and to go in next stage.

Gremio v Defensor
I watch first game between this two and Defensor was playing very good football.....Gremio at home is difrent team and they should be able to win this game but odds are joke...

Santos v America
I think this is going to be close game beside the fact that America is traveling without couple of importanat players , i hope that this game is`t going to be like the first one ( one of the most boring games ever )

America will be focused on Mexican match, since the group of players who traveled to Brazil for Libertdores commitment against Santos is conformed in his majority by substitutes.

To Brazil 14 traveled:Armando Navarrete, Alberto Becerra, Felipe Baloy, Rodrigo Iñigo, Óscar Rojas, Carlos Infante, Diego Cervantes, Ignacio Torres, Juan Carlos Mosqueda, Luis Pérez, Fabián Peña, Daniel Márquez, Daniel Bilos and Nelson Cuevas

Guillermo Ochoa, Duilio Davino, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Salvador Cabañas, Santiago Fernández, Álvin Mendoza, Ricardo Rojas, José Antonio Castro, Ismael Rodríguez, Raúl Salinas and Luis Saritama remained in Mexico and from this day they began its preparation in the facilities of Coapa.

Libertad v Boca Juniors
Is it possible Libertad to make the big surprise this year in Libertadores ?
They could get draw from this game.......

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cucuta looks to make Nacional its third upset victim

SAO PAULO, Brazil: Twenty-seven-time Paraguayan champ Cerro Porteno fell in the first round. Eight-time Mexican champ Toluca was brushed aside in the second round.

Relative Colombian upstart Cucuta Deportivo could make three-time South American champion Nacional of Uruguay its next victim when they face off in the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores.

Cucuta, whose only Colombian title came in the second half of last season, has a two-goal lead from its first-leg victory when the two play Tuesday night in Montevideo.

"Two-to-zero is not much, but it helps," said Cucuta midfielder Charles Castro. "We'll see how we handle it."

Defensor of Uruguay also has a two-goal lead for its second leg against Gremio in Brazil, while the two other quarterfinals, Santos vs. America and Libertad vs. Boca Juniors are even after draws last week.

Cucuta, playing in its first Libertadores, already has surprised many. After failing to win any of it's first four matches, it won 4-3 at fellow Colombian side Tolima to secure the second berth out of Group 3 in the first round, and then rode a 5-1 rout over Toluca in the first leg of the second round to reach the final eight.

Nacional, who has won the Uruguayan title three times — including two of the last three years, likely will not go easily.

"We know that they are going to want to score any way they can," Cucuta physical trainer Mauricio Molina said.

In other games, Gremio will not be able to rely on regular starting midfielder Diego Souza, who was expelled in last week's game against Defensor. Gremio is expected to replace him with defensive midfielder Lucas.

Needing a three-goal difference to stay alive in the tournament, Gremio's coach Mano Menezes said he would injured the front line with strikers Carlos Eduardo, Tuta and former AC Milan striker Amoroso.

Also on Wednesday, two-time Libertadores champion Santos hosts America, which was held to a 0-0 draw in Mexico City.

Santos coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo said Saturday's 2-3 loss to America-RN in the second round of the Brazilian first-division soccer championship, would not affect his players when they meet the Mexicans.

"The team is focused on the Libertadores and is prepared to take on and beat the Mexicans," Luxemburgo told reporters.

On Thursday, Paraguay's Libertad plays against five-time Copa Libertadores champion Boca Juniors in Asuncion, having drawn 1-1 last week in Buenos Aires. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/...es-Preview.php

Secunda

Lorca v Almeria

I`m going with Almeria in this match....
Lorca is playing better right now but they are still class below Almeria, they are saying that there`s theoretical chance to stay in Secunda (my ass ) bla bla ...........
I`m going with Almeria becouse if they win today they are going to be in Primera and today there would be around 5000 there`s fans on Francisco Artés Carrasco who is with capacity of 8000 and is expected to be full for the first time since Lorca is playing on this ground...........

Same thing about Toluca -Cucuta ,i never expected Toluca to lose with so big goal dereference but that red card war one of the reasons for that, today should be goals .......

Shakira takes priority over Libertadores Cup

RIO DE JANEIRO, May 7 (Reuters) - Mexican side Necaxa have been forced to move Thursday's Libertadores Cup tie at home to Nacional because their stadium is to be used for a concert by pop star Shakira.
Necaxa, who go into the third-round second leg tie against the Uruguayans with a 3-2 deficit, will stage the match at Mexico City's Azteca stadium, around 600 kilometres from their base in Aguascalientes.
The club said on their Web site that the move was due to logistical problems.
However, Mexican media said that Shakira was due to give a concert at the La Vitoria stadium on Friday and it would take more than 24 hours to prepare the arena. The Colombian singer's Web site confirmed the show.
Necaxa's compatriots America also face problems as they travel to Chile for the second leg of their match against Colo Colo on Tuesday.
Faced with an overloaded fixture list and leading 3-0 from the first leg, America have taken a calculated risk by resting eight first-team players for the long flight south.
The Eagles also have to face Atlas in a two-leg Mexican championship quarter-final this week with the first leg likely to be played Thursday or Friday.
The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) are due to announce the dates later on Monday.
Forward Cuauhtemoc Blanco and stalwart midfielder German Villa are among those who stayed in Mexico.
"These are risks we have to take," said coach Luis Fernando Tena.
"The domestic championship is also important so we have even out the workload and continue with the rotation of players."

DANGEROUS OPPONENTS
Free-scoring Colo Colo, however, are dangerous opponents and are keen to atone for their abject dismal in the first leg, described by coach Claudio Borghi as the worst in his 16-month reign.
Colo Colo are not the only team with a lot of work to do in this week's return games.
Velez Sarsfield also trail 3-0 from their first leg against fellow Argentines Boca Juniors, as do Flamengo against Defensor Sporting.
Velez, under Mexico's World Cup coach Ricardo La Volpe, host Boca in Buenos Aires on Wednesday while Flamengo, Brazil's most popular club, play the unfasionable Uruguayans at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro the same evening.
Mexico's Toluca have an even bigger task as host Colombian champions Cucuta on Tuesday with a 5-1 deficit from the first game.
The remaining three ties are finely balanced.
Gremio host Sao Paulo in an all-Brazilian tie in Porto Alegre on Wednesday with a 1-0 deficit to make up and while Santos go into Thursday's game at home to Caracas FC of Venezuela well positioned after drawing 2-2 away.
Paraguayan champions Libertad, the only team to win away last week when they beat Parana 2-1, complete the line-up when they face the Brazilians in Asuncion on Thursday.
